Cedar Valley Wins First DAC Match
DALLAS – Dallas College Cedar Valley volleyball team won its first Dallas Athletic Conference match Monday, sweeping host Dallas College Mountain View 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.
The Suns matched the Lions with .182 hitting percentages on the way to their first conference win in three years.
Cedar Valley (3-17, 1-2 DAC) hit .310 in the opening set, putting away 10 kills against one error in 29 swings.
Trinity Foy finished with nine kills and a .333 attack percentage for the Suns. Morgan Taylor had four kills, three aces and seven digs. Aniyah Kinney had 13 assists and two aces. Cadens White had four blocks. Gracie Garcia had two aces and seven digs. Alexandra Rodriguez had nine digs and four aces. Parker Kiser had nine digs, and Ava Manley eight.
Mountain View's Madisyn Moore had 14 kills, and hit .650. Destinee Johnson had nine kills. Bryanna Bowman had 21 assists. Kahmya Rice had four aces. Skylar Daniels finished with 28 digs.
Cedar Valley will host Dallas College Eastfield 6 p.m. Thursday.
