Bolton Named DAC Offensive Player of Year

DALLAS – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Bryson Bolton was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year.

He and Willofiam Ojage were named First Team All-DAC. Cedar Valley teammates Jose Contreras, Acalli Castaneda, Valente Salas and Bennett Woodworth were Second Team selections.

Bolton, a sophomore forward, had eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He had one gamewinning goal. Bolton scored four goals and had one assist in the regular season finale against Southwestern Christian College.

A sophomore midfielder, Ojage had three goals this season. He scored in back-to-back games against East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity and No. 1 Dallas College Richland.

A freshman midfielder, Contreras finished the year with three goals and three assists for nine points. He scored against Southwestern Adventist University and Randall University in two straight games.

Castaneda, a freshman midfielder, had a goal and four assists. His goal came against Rose State College. He had assists in the final two games of the season.

A sophomore defender, Salas had one assist in a 2-1 win at Southwestern Christian.

Woodworth, a sophomore goalkeeper, recorded two wins between the posts, and had a .774 save percentage. He stopped 96 shots.
