Katrina Stephenson was named assistant women's basketball coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley in September 2025.

In her first season with the program, the Suns went 12-9 overall, 4-0 in the Dallas Athletic Conference to win the league regular season title. She was part of a staff that helped coach a team to a nine-game winning streak to end the regular season. Tynia Minnitt was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Third Team All-American. 

Stephenson came to Cedar Valley with 20 years of experience coaching basketball, specializing in defensive coaching schemes and player development. Her players went on to play in college.

Stephenson played collegiately at Grambling State University. She played high school basketball at Lancaster High School.
