Dallas College Cedar Valley's Sierra Headquist was named the Dallas Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week. It marks the second time this season Headquist has been chosen for the league's weekly award.

A sophomore center from Plano, Texas, Headquist had 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in Cedar Valley's 73-70 win over Frank Phillips College Tuesday. Headquist shot 5 of 12 from the floor, including one of two from three-point range. She was 4-for-6 from the free throw line.

Headquist grabbed three of her nine boards on the offensive glass. She was one of three starters in double figures as the No. 6 nationally-ranked Suns won their fourth straight.

Cedar Valley (8-2) will host the University of Arkansas Cossatot 6 p.m. Tuesday.
