Headquist Chosen DAC Player of Week

Dallas College Cedar Valley's Sierra Headquist was named the Dallas Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward/center from Plano, Texas, Headquist averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, two steals and a block as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 9-ranked Suns split a pair of games against Southwestern Christian College – each winning on the other's home court.

Headquist scored 16 points in the road win, going 7 of 11 from the field, while grabbing five rebounds and picking up two steals, two assists and a block.

She is averaging 12.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and two steals per game, while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor.

Cedar Valley (5-2) plays at Dallas Christian College 6 p.m. Thursday and at Southwestern Adventist University 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
