Bio

Telly Bernard was named assistant men's basketball coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley in August 2025.

Cedar Valley won five games in 2025-26, advancing to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District quarterfinals. Larry Lyons and J'Ylon Nobles received All-Dallas Athletic Conference honors.

Bernard coached boys basketball at Garland High School for 22 years, including three as head coach. In 2021-22, he was named District 9-6A co-Coach of the Year.

From 2006-07, he was an assistant coach at Dallas College Eastfield. Bernard was a graduate assistant with the men's basketball program at St. Mary's University in 2000-01. 

He played at Central Methodist University.

He has taught business finance and accounting. 

Bernard earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Central Methodist in 1998. He earned a master's in computer information systems at St. Mary's in 2001.
