Cedar Valley's Aahil Ajani is your NJCAAE NBA 2K23 Fall Open CHAMPION

The second trip to the finals proved to be bittersweet.

After losing in the finals this past spring, Aahil had something to prove coming into the fall semester. Aahil had a chip on his shoulder and it was on full display throughout the season going undefeated while playing in a tough group. Aahil " HyperCrazeTTV" Ajani played spectacularly all season and his play paid off because it netted him and Cedar Valley a number 2 seed in the playoffs which meant he had a first-round bye. His second-round opponent was Chase. K of Dawson Community College. 

Aahil went on to defeat him 2-0 in the best-of-3 series. In the quarterfinals Aahil faced Issac. S of Carl Albert State College. Aahil defeated this tough opponent 2-1 in the best-of-3 series. In the semifinals Aahil faced Jonathan. E of Heartland Community College. Aahil defeated this tough opponent 2-1 in the best-of-3 series. In the finals, Aahil faced the number 1 seed, Isaac. S of UCC Riverhawks. Aahil went on to defeat Issac 3-0 in the best-of-5 series. 

Aahil Ajani's coach Marcus "Coach King" Woodard was very instrumental in preparing Aahil for this semester's run at the championship. He had this to say. "After having the feeling like we let one get away and the disappointment that came along with the loss during the spring finals, we vowed to come back better prepared for this semester, so I'm very proud that Aahil and I were able to work as a team to get this championship which is the first for the Dallas College Esports program"
