Baseball Receives ABCA Academic Excellence Award

ABCA Academic Excellence Award 

LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Academic Excellence Award recognition Wednesday.

In order to be eligible for the honor, a team's coach must be a current ABCA member. The team must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 for the 2023-24 academic year.

Cedar Valley's baseball team posted a grade point average of 3.27 in the 2023-24 academic year. 

The Suns have earned the award for the past six years. They were one of over 470 college baseball programs to receive the honor this year.
