Baseball Ranked No. 13 in NJCAA DIII Poll
Dallas College Cedar Valley's baseball team is ranked No. 13 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll.
It is the highest the Suns have been ranked in the poll this season, and marks the first time this year they cracked the Top 15.
Cedar Valley garnered the No. 13 ranking on the heels of back-to-back wins over then No. 9 Dallas College Richland last week. The Suns won the final two games of the three-game series with the Thunderducks, who fell to No. 12 this week.
Dallas College Eastfield remained No. 3 in the rankings.
Cedar Valley was receiving votes in the poll the previous two weeks. The Suns earned votes in the season's first weekly ranking March 13.
The Suns (35-17, 15-12 Dallas Athletic Conference) will finish the regular season with a three-game series beginning noon Wednesday at home against Dallas College Brookhaven. They host the Bears again 12 p.m. Friday before playing the final game of the series at Brookhaven at noon Saturday.
